Acting class is a non-threatening and fun environment concentrating on all aspects of acting for stage and screen. A typical acting class includes both physical and vocal warm-ups, followed by exercises focusing on specific techniques. Many popular exercises include pantomime and improvisation. All aspects of class prepare the student when approaching an actual script.

Other areas of study include characterization, motivation, dialects, accents, auditioning, memorization, style, and interpretation. The students work is showcased in a recital format twice a year. Many supportive audience members enjoy watching monologues, scene work, commercials and movies in which all students participate.

Acting class is immensely helpful in preparing students for upcoming auditions at school, community theatres, church plays, college, and beyond.

Some students acting upIt is exciting to watch my students grow not only in the classroom, but in the community. The classes are comprised of many different ages, backgrounds, and experience. The students quickly become supportive of each other and fast friends. The skills they learn in the classroom are helpful when they give speeches, have job interviews, apply for colleges, or just need an extra confidence boost for an upcoming event.

I enjoy watching the students take risks and expanding their knowledge of the theatre. They often surprise themselves with their abilities and their self confidence grows by leaps and bounds each and every week. Their level of enthusiasm makes my job a complete joy -
